Traditions are customs or values handed down by using a family and sometimes created without realizing it. The regimens or foods shared whenever we come together are repeated and be a part of who we are. A detail made clear, a few weeks ago, because my children and I searched for food the day ahead of our Very Bowl gathering. As we nabbed chips, dips, sodas, cooked beans, poultry, and bar-b-que sauce, one of my children said, " Don't forget the constituents for 'Mom's ChickenEnchiladas'. " I by no means realized, until then, which it had become a conventional dish dished up at all us functions.
As we continued searching, we accumulated everything necessary for our entrГ©e: 10 pounds of poultry leg/thigh quarters, 3 8-ounce bags of mixed cheddar/monterey jack shredded cheese, you large and 1 channel yellow red onion, 4 4-ounce cans of chopped green chilies, some 4-ounce containers of sliced up olives, 2 16-ounce cans of enchilada sauce, and 3 dozen small corn tortillas. That i knew what was necessary, even without a list, as I created the recipe and get cooking this for years. The only time I actually vary from my original formula is when I am short on time. At these times, I purchase cooked poultry from my personal local store's deli. Seeing that we searched the day prior to our party, I had plenty of time to start from scratch.
Boil the 10 pounds of poultry and the large onion within a big pot of drinking water. Cook before the chicken is catagorized apart.
